ShanTilly (call name 'Tilly') is a wonderful girl with a very safe, calm personality. She was born on my daughters 10 yr birthday and has been a great horse for her.... they have had so much fun together. Tilly has always been a very good, willing, easy horse to work with. She was trained by a professional 'Natural Horseman' when she was 3. (Lindsay at www.treasure2farm.com). She has been give excellent care and is perfectly healthy and sound. She has had several months of lessons,schooling and training.
We took her to the State 4-H horse show (halter classes) when she was 1 and she was perfect. vehicles, loud noises, airplanes taking off ect... didn't bother her at all.
She went back the next year (hunter under saddle, halter classes) and was even better. They won many ribbons together and had so much fun doing it. Tilly is the kind of horse a mother can relax with.
My daughter (now 14) is her main rider and she doesn't have to warm her up or lounge her before riding... she gets her out of the pasture or stall and saddles right up and mounts. Tilly is very easy to handle on the ground and under saddle. She is not barn or buddy sour at all- she will leave the herd and totally ignores them when they 'call' to her. My daughter has ridden her in shows, group and single training lessons, camps and several trail rides. Tilly is always one of the best behaved horses. She goes through water, steep rocky terrain, woods, roads, ect. She is not spooky or too fast. She has a nice smooth canter and beautiful floating trot. Nice head set and very nice conformation.
She loads, clips, baths and stands for farrier very well. She gets along with others well. No known vices.
